Description
The Receiving Operator is responsible for receiving inbound ingredients in accordance with standard operating procedures established at the feed mill. The operator will be responsible for operating the computer automation systems required to receive ingredients. The operator will operate the receiving equipment according to established standard operating procedures. In addition the operator will perform housekeeping activities, maintenance and repair of equipment, and quality control.
Qualifications
Operate manufacturing equipment.
Operate the automation system.
Receive ingredients in accordance with quality assurance policies, standard operating procedures, and Current Good Manufacturing Practices.
Sample ingredients and perform quality assurance tests.
Collect grain samples in accordance with the sampling plan.
Weighing grain trucks/ probing and unloading.
Perform preventive maintenance on equipment.
Perform routine housekeeping.
Operate forklift.
Comply with all company policies.
Comply with all local, state, and federal laws, and regulations.
A minimum requirement of a high school degree or equivalent.
Knowledge of feed manufacturing equipment operation and maintenance.
Ability to lift 60 pounds, climb ladders, and operate a pallet jack with 2,000 pounds of material.
