Description
Back Road Farms is a small family owned & operated tree farm providing high quality Grade A trees at wholesale to other nurseries, garden centers, and landscapers. We ship locally and all the way up to East Hampton, NY and beyond. We currently have 85 acres of field grown trees in production.
• Supervising, managing, and training fulltime and seasonal farm employees to prep trees for digging and on proper tree care, pruning, and planting
• Prepping, digging, and loading balled and burlapped trees onto tractor trailers for shipping
• Maintain safe farm practices and provide an efficient work environment to increase productivity
• Operation and maintenance of necessary farm equipment
• Mixing and applying chemicals with various spraying equipment
• Conducting routine mechanical maintenance and repair as well as locating and picking up equipment and parts
Qualifications
Must have a valid driver’s license and a SSN or TIN, have good communication skills (bilingual is preferred but not required), be able to lift/push/pull a minimum of 50 pounds, be reliable and trustworthy, be willing to work long hours outdoors, and able to work independently as well as directly with and under the supervision of the general manager.

Benefits: Hours will be full time (40-50 hours/week) during the busy season: mid-February through mid-September. Fall and Winter hours will be decreased to part time (35 hours or less).
Pay will start out hourly and is dependent on experience. Pay will increase semi-annually the first two years with the option to become salary thereafter with benefits. Bonuses can be earned based on sales, work ethic, and productivity.
Salary Range: 16-22/hour
