Description
We are looking for the right individual to come help with and maybe take on our farmers market on Saturdays. The individual must be available on Saturdays. Arrive at Sweet Pickins Farm at 8:00a to load up for the market. Do the market from 9a till 2p. Return to the farm 2:30-3:00p
The farmers market assistant needs to be friendly and like people, and be able to work in a fast-paced environment. We expect the farmers market crew to have a good knowledge of what we do here on the farm and what we sell but we will help you learn this.
Work includes:
Setting up and taking down of market
Helping customers
Counting/managing cash drawer
Working with technology devices to check customers out
Restocking market display
Possibility of filling in for other markets if need
Qualifications
Ability to work hard outside in a variety of weather conditions with a positive attitude
Ability to work well with others
Good customer service skills
Good communication skills
Ability to follow instructions
Ability to work with simple technology
Ability to perform simple calculations
High integrity
Physical ability to stand for an entire shift
Hours: ~7 hrs a week. Can be combined with other roles on the farm.
Compensation: Starts at $15/hr. (may be increased based on experience)
Experience Requirements
Paid days off after 60 days of employment
2 days off a week, sometimes 4 depending on the weeks schedule
Access to free fresh poultry products (duck and chicken)
