Job Description
As the Fleet Manager you will be responsible for overseeing the efficient management and maintenance of an organization’s physical assets, specifically focusing on equipment. Your role involves ensuring that equipment is properly tracked, maintained, and utilized to support operational needs. This role serves as the main point of contact for internal stakeholders in addition to reporting and scheduling data analysis.

Responsibilities

Support the Director of Asset Management with executing strategies and workflows that align asset utilization and lifecycle management with business expansion and the needs of both external customers and internal stakeholders.
Maintain accurate records of all equipment assets and parts, including details such as purchase date, warranty information, location, and condition.
Regularly update the asset database to reflect changes, acquisitions, disposals, and transfers.
Conduct physical audits to verify asset locations and reconcile discrepancies.
Review work order request and coordinate with production and maintenance teams to schedule routine inspections, servicing, and repairs for equipment.
Assign work orders to maintenance team members to ensure efficient use of team capacity and to address urgent repair requests promptly to minimize downtime.
Monitor scheduled and unscheduled maintenance events and communicate progress to key stakeholders.
Ensure compliance with preventive maintenance schedules to prolong equipment lifespan and provide maintenance schedule forecast to Asset Manager.
Oversee Parts Purchasing manager to ensure parts are available when needed and purchased in a timely manner.
Coordinate equipment purchases, considering factors such as budget, quality, and vendor relationships.
Manage the disposal process for outdated or non-functional equipment, adhering to environmental regulations.
Work closely with department heads, project managers, and maintenance staff to ensure seamless equipment availability.
Communicate any equipment-related issues or updates to relevant stakeholders.

Physical Requirements:

Base salary $50,000-$80,000 with bonus potential.
Exact compensation may vary based on skills and experience.

Qualifications

It is essential for the candidate to be a self-starter, able to work effectively in a team, manage multiple tasks and work under pressure, and be flexible and willing to assist as needed. The candidate will also possess the following qualifications:
A bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (such as business administration, logistics, or engineering) and 2+ years of related experience or 5+ years of related experience.
Previous experience in equipment asset management or a related role.
Strong organizational skills and meticulous record-keeping abilities.
Ability to analyze data related to equipment utilization and costs.
Effective communication with cross-functional teams.
Proactive approach to resolving equipment-related challenges.
