Redland Fresh Farm is a diverse farming unit that grows specialty products from an acre hydroponic greenhouse that is USDA certified organic, 30 acres of exotic and medicinals, and over 100 acres of various tropical tree crops. The Sales Associate is responsible for promoting and cross-selling our range of products. We are looking for an individual with a minimum of 5 years experience in the produce industry that includes exceptional attention to detail, and a proven track record of sales success. Farm or Business Description

Our farm is a veteran founded business in the heart of Miami's agricultural area called the Redland.  We operate various farms in the area, to include tree crops like mango, avocado, lychee and starfruit but our showstopper is our one acre hydroponic certified organic greenhouse. We strive to produce unique varieties that are not only visually appealing, but have flavor profiles that are incredibly delicious as well.

Responsibilities

Responsibilities:

- Create a dynamic sales program for our organization, while building and nurturing client relationships

- Promoting and selling of our range of organic, exotic and conventional produce

- Proactively develop and maintain a loyal client base through clear communication and relationship building

- Scheduling sales calls for both new and existing clients to identify and grasp new sales opportunities within established accounts

- Manage and resolve conflicts with clients, demonstrating strong problem solving skills

- Support, promote and manage contracts for assigned clients

- Collaborate with head grower and other staff members to ensure effective communication and coordination

- Review and analyze weekly reports, following up as needed and in a timely manner

- Stay on top of market trends, conditions and pricing to make informed sales decisions

- Conduct proactive client "good-will" calls and ensure excellent follow-up

- Anticipate client needs and track client spending on a monthly, quarterly and yearly basis

- Meet or exceed quarterly and yearly sales goals

- Collaborate with management to develop business cases, presentations and proposals

- Demonstrate positive company positioning

- Travel periodically throughout Dade, Monroe and Broward, on an as needed basis

- Monitor inventory levels and communicate any shortages or overages to management

  • Follow proper food safety and sanitation guidelines to ensure product quality and customer safety

Qualifications

Qualifications:

We are seeking an individual with a minimum of 5 years of produce sales experience in the produce industry.

- Exceptional attention to detail, follow through and organizational skills

- Understanding of market conditions, trends and pricing

- Excellent computer skills and social media savvy, with knowledge of Microsoft 365, Excel, etc.

- Sense of urgency applicable to dealing with perishable products

- Highly organized, self-motivated and able to work independently

- Demonstrates excellent communication skills (both written and verbal), interpersonal skills and proper phone etiquette

- Professional

- Proven track record of established sales, cold calls and/or account management success

- Diverse produce industry knowledge, to include organic produce sales

- Physical demands: must be able to sit, talk and hear

- Frequently, must be able to stand and walk

- The ability to lift and/or move up to 25 pounds is necessary

  • Vision abilities required for this role includes close vision, color vision, and the ability to adjust focus
