Ranch hand needed in Llano, Texas. We are a family-run 65 acre ranch looking for someone full-time to help with various duties. Bali Family Farm is committed to a homestead/regenerative style of ranching that takes into account an understanding of the land’s natural resources with a priority of building soil health and using animals to do so. Our goal is to work in harmony with nature to produce healthy food for our community.
Our mission is to build a healthier environment and produce healthier food, using regenerative agricultural methods. An inquisitive mind, good work ethic, and commitment to our mission is important. We are looking for someone who is motivated, has a passion for working with animals, and has previous experience of working with farm animals. We are happy to teach regenerative agricultural methods.
Responsibilities
DUTIES: We raise pasture-raised pigs, sheep, chicken, turkeys, ducks, and soon cattle too. Looking for someone who will do daily animal feeds, assist with animal care, move animals for rotational grazing, can help with fencing, work on our irrigation system, build small structures, work in the fruit and nut orchard, help with our market garden, and more. You will gain great experience and exposure to regenerative agriculture!
Experience Requirements
- Previous experience with most of the following farm animals, pigs, sheep, chickens, turkeys, ducks, and cattle.
- Comfortable and gentle with animals
- Strong work ethic
Benefits
- Pay is $15-18/hr depending on expierence
