The Stable Hand reports directly to the designated Stable Manager and provides support to Equest’s administrative and program staff as required. The Stable Hand works directly with the Equest herd, facility and equipment daily and is responsible for horse care and handling.

Responsibilities
Duties Include:
- Work under the Stable Manager’s direction to ensure a safe environment for the horses, riders and volunteers while adhering to all PATH Intl. standards.
- Assist with horse care and safety including feeding, stall cleaning, veterinary and farrier care.
- Assist with facility, equipment, onsite housing, fencing upkeep and maintenance.
- Supports pasture and barn maintenance and management.
- Adhere to all established maintenance schedules and operating policies.
- Assists with on-site special event preparation.
- Attends staff meetings.
- Adheres to the culture and core values of Equest
Qualifications
Additional Requirements:
- Equine handling knowledge
- Heavy lifting
- Use of farm machinery
- General proficiencies in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Outlook and Excel)
