Full Time Gardener (7210)

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced gardener with a deep knowledge and love of native plants for a full-time position in Wilton, CT. Duration: Full-time, with potential to take time off during the winter. Location: Wilton, Western Connecticut, New England.

Seed starting, establishment, maintenance, and harvesting of a large vegetable garden, including berries, using 100% organic, sustainable practices, including composting. Native Garden Maintenance, Careful weeding of any invasive species by hand removal in four separate enclosed, already established native gardens. No chemicals used - 100% organic. Maintenance of 3 adjacent acres of ecologically restored land. Monitor and remove invasive species by hand cutting, without the use of chemicals. General upkeep of the property, including minor repairs and carpentry, maintaining gardening tools in good order, and keeping fences free of climbing and invasive plants, using organic methods such as vinegar.
Animal Care: Care for a few pet chickens on the property.

Potential for room and board on the property.
