Farm Manager (7217)

WE HAVE A FULL JOB DESCRIPTION WRITTEN AND CAN SEND TO YOU. 🙂 We have approximately 230 acres located just outside of Asheville in Fletcher, North Carolina. Our hope is to find someone who will help us develop and implement a vegetable and fruit production using organic practices, including planning, planting, and harvesting; and then marketing of the produce.
In addition, the land needs some general oversight of overall trail upkeep, pond upkeep, and general land maintenance.

Prior farming experience; experience with crop planning and pest control
Familiarity with heavy equipment operation and maintenance
Ability to lift and move heavy objects and equipment
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing weather conditions
Experience with power tools and equipment repair
Effective organizational and communication skills
Detail-oriented while also being able to see the big picture
Excellent problem-solver; resourceful
Efficient and hands-on
Ability to live on the farm, or in close proximity
