Fruit Farm Assistant Manager (7271)

We are looking for a self-motivated jack-of-all-trades to join our family business fruit farming operation. The assistant manager will work year-round, completing bed renovation, weeding, mowing, fertilizing, sanding, flooding, etc. Frost watch in the growing season will be required on cold evenings, which may include weekends. Supervision and direction of the harvest crew will also be a responsibility.

Knowledge of welding, mechanical, heavy equipment, and maintenance skills is desired. However, a willingness to truly learn and master these skills will be considered in your application.

It is a physical job that requires the ability to lift fertilizer bags and other heavy items. The candidate will eventually need to take and pass pesticide and herbicide certification.

Job includes use of a newly remodeled (Feb 2025) 2 bedroom, one bath home, utilities (heat, electric, water, sewer, garbage), company truck, hourly or salary (candidate select), harvest bonus. Paid holidays, vacation. Compensation can be hourly ($18-$22) or salaried and a harvest bonus. Willing to assist with premiums (up to 75%) for a marketplace health policy.
