Are you an experienced livestock farm hand or shepherd with good people skills?  Are you good at motivating employees and volunteers?  Do you enjoy teaching farm and life skills?  Can you oversee the grounds and ensure that a peaceful, safe environment is maintained for both the animals and the people at Kaizen Parks Care Farm?  Then this new position may be a good fit for you.

Kaizen Parks Care Farm brings people and animals together for healing hearts and minds.  We are becoming a faith based nonprofit and maintain a smoke-free, healthy, sustainable environment for our animals and our human visitors.  While we have a variety of livestock including equine, cows, goats, minipigs, chickens, geese, etc., we are focusing on fine wool sheep.  The wool products generated help support our mission and programs.

The foreman is the glue to hold all of the mechanical pieces of Kaizen Parks Care Farm together.  Duties include:

* overseeing data collection and record keeping relating to livestock, farm equipment, and establishment and maintenance of farm structures;

* overseeing the daily feeding and care of all farm animals;

*coordinating repairs, as needed, and overseeing contractors;

*assist in maintaining and improving the grounds and biosecurity procedures;

*assist in coordinating daily work schedules of all employees, contractors, and volunteers;

*other duties, as needed.

Must have farm or ranch experience or equivalent of at least 1 year with references.

Must be able to keep electronic records in a simple database.

Management or team lead experience is highly desirable.

Foreman must be physically capable of performing all farmhand duties, filling in as needed.

valid driver's license

Must be able to perform physical labor, as needed.

Salary range is $50,000 - $100,000, depending on qualifications and whether the foreman chooses to accept the superior housing benefit and/or medical benefits.
