Dairy / Ranch / Farm Hand (7450)

We are a 300 acre ranch located in Tooele Valley, Utah. We have cattle, dairy, sheep, pig, poultry, and retail operations. And we would like to add a greenhouse/garden operation.

Our ideal ranch hand would love plants & animals; love work of the physically demanding variety; love being outside – rain or shine / freezing or scorching; love cleanliness & organization; and have a passion for clean food, regenerative agriculture, and growing healthy animals, humans & ecosystems.

Typical daily tasks: feeding, watering & bedding animals; grinding & mixing feed; irrigation; moving electric fencing; milking & bottling milk; cleaning milk bottles & equipment; cheesemaking; collecting & packaging eggs.

Desire to work hard in service of beautiful animals & clean food; a joy-full attitude – pleasant to be around; ability to lift & carry 5 gallon buckets full of water & throw hay; manual dexterity for handling octopus-like milk machine & wresting pliers/wire for fencing repair; meticulousness in food preparation & packaging; tough as nails; kind as a momma; committed to excellence.

Experience with tractors & trailers; fence construction; and horsemanship a plus.

Hours: 60 hrs/week.

Compensation: $30k/year, full benefits, housing inc. utilities, no house pets, work animals considered.
