Beef Herd Manager (7471)

Responsible for day-to-day care of all cattle, reproduction work including AI & heat detection, prep of sale bulls, all aspects of calving, assistance in hay production, maintain and repair fencing, mix feed, keep facilities maintained.
We are almost to 100 head calving operation (calving in spring and fall) and 70 head freezer beef. We sell bulls mostly private treaty in spring and fall.

Experience in either show or production beef cattle operations including reproduction work(can include 4-H participation)
Knowledge of standard cattle health needs and management
Experience in fence repair/ building both single wire and high tensile
Experience with farm equipment a plus but not required
Experience in hay production a plus but not required

Salary
Housing with utilities paid
1/2 beef & 1/2 pork a year
fuel for personal vehicle
