Company Information
R & R Bronec Grain and Cattle seeks to ethically produce grain and beef cattle in a sustainable low cost system that provides quality food for the world consumer and improves the health of the land under management.
The farm and ranch operation currently consists of approximately 8,300 acres of cropland and 16,000 acres of native grass and pastureland in Chouteau and Liberty County, 600 acres of hay production and 6,800 acres of range and pastureland in Glacier County and 800 acres of cropland and hay in Cascade County.
Our crop and rangeland management perspective seeks to maximize production while building soil and plant health thru focusing on detail, independent research and personal experience. No till crop production has been used exclusively for the past 14 years on all crop acres. We continue to seek better solutions to grain production thru fertilizer efficiencies, weed management techniques and equipment efficiencies. All cropping and grazing decisions are based upon conservation of the land and soil, one of the most important assets of the operation.
This focus on land and soil is a major reason our operation has obtained a CSP contract a (conservation program administered thru NRCS). We continue to employ conservation practices that produce results consistent with our mission as an operation. R & R Bronec Grain & Cattle is also a member of undaunted stewardship, a State organization encouraging partnerships between agriculture and conservation organizations.
Complete record keeping of all management practices and operations are compiled and used in management decision making and available for landowner evaluation. Financial stability and flexibility allow us to respond to our operational environment in order to continue with our goals of top production and environmental stewardship.
