Job Description: We are looking for Business Manager / Accountant who possesses expertise in finance, accounting, Netsuite software, and foundational knowledge in horticulture/agricultural business to join our expanding team.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Financial Management:

- Oversee financial operations, including accounts, budgeting, reporting, and regulatory compliance.
- Develop strategies to optimize profitability, resource utilization, and industry regulation compliance.
- Collaborate with CPA for tax compliance, reporting, budget compilation, spending monitoring, performance analysis, and decision-making insights.
2. Insurance Management and Strategic Planning:

- Manage various insurance policies including auto, general liability, buildings, crop, etc.,
- Understand and implement crop insurance policies, assess options, and manage claims.
- Research grant opportunities, conduct market analysis, and contribute to strategic planning and financial projections.
3. Inventory and Supply Chain Management:

- Manage inventory, purchasing, and supplier relationships to enhance efficiency across multiple departments and businesses, including e-commerce, retail, horticulture production, and venue rentals.
4. Netsuite Expertise:

- Utilize Netsuite for accounting, payroll, automation, and customization to meet business needs.
- Train and support team members on effective Netsuite usage.
5. General Office Management:

- Work directly as a team with HR to provide strategic workforce placement, events and venue expansion, forecasting, etc.,
- Overall general office and business management including managing spreadsheets and large amounts of data
Qualifications
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• CPA or equivalent certification desirable.
• Proficiency in Netsuite software.
• Understanding of crop insurance in agriculture.
• Experience in financial management, analysis, and agricultural regulatory compliance.
• Strong communication, detail-oriented skills, and ability to thrive in a fast-paced, multi-business environment.
• Ability to work flexible schedule as needed, including weekends, based on seasonal demands of an agricultural operation.
