Equipment Operator/Herdsman (7513)

We are seeking an experienced, dependable Farm Equipment Operator to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience safely operating tractors ranging from 50 to 150 horsepower and be comfortable performing a variety of agricultural tasks throughout the year.

Operating tractors and hay equipment for mowing, raking, and baling during hay season.
Planting corn and operating no-till seeding equipment.
Bush hogging and maintaining fence lines and farm property.
Performing routine equipment maintenance and general farm work.

This position also includes assisting with our registered Angus cattle operation. Seasonal livestock responsibilities include preparing cattle for breeding, administering vaccinations, feeding hay, and supporting general herd management.

This is a full-time, year-round position with work that changes with the seasons. Housing is available as part of the compensation package for the right candidate.

We are looking for someone who is reliable, safety-conscious, self-motivated, and able to work independently. Previous experience operating farm equipment is required, and livestock experience is preferred.

The ideal candidate will have prior experience operating agricultural equipment, including tractors ranging from 50 to 150 horsepower, and be knowledgeable in hay production and general farm operations. Experience with livestock, particularly beef cattle, is preferred. Candidates should possess strong mechanical aptitude, be able to perform routine equipment maintenance, and safely operate machinery in a variety of field conditions. The ability to work independently, manage time effectively, and adapt to seasonal priorities is essential. A valid driver's license is required, and a Commercial Driver's License (CDL) is a plus. Applicants should be dependable, safety-conscious, physically capable of performing farm labor, and willing to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.

We have a 2-bedroom 1 bath house with a mudroom, full kitchen, laundry room fully renovated available, 7 ponds to fish in your off time, 401K benefits, bonuses, we offer beef throughout the year, we do our best to have holidays off but doesn't always work out that way when hay is to be made or cows to breed. We will give raises based on performance.
