Description
We are seeking and will hire an intern for the seven month growing season (May through November). This intern will be trained by Walter Goldstein in aspects of farming, seed breeding and seed production. They will assist Dr. Goldstein and technicians in all phases of the work breeding maize. The position is for seven months with possible extension.
Qualifications
We are looking for a physically capable and practical person with some experience with agriculture, machinery, and biodynamic/organic practice. That person should have an interest in plants, plant breeding, and in working outside.
Benefits
Costs are figured at $17,200 for salary and $6,450 for food and lodging.
Housing and meals are available in lieu of food and lodging stipend.
