Farm Manager (7195)

Griffin Farms in West Branch, MI is seeking a full time farm manager to manage 1000+ acre crop and beef farm. approximately 100 head of beef cattle, and feed lot focused on sales direct to consumer. Primary crop is hay, small squares and round bales for cattle feed and sale to existing customers. The beef and hay sales could be expanded. We also farm limitedly wheat, corn and soybeans. If necessary, housing may be an option. The candidate would also be the property manager for hunting lands

Must be fully versed in the production of hay, from mowing with haybine, ted as necessary, round and small square production. Experience handling beef cattle to include general health, vaccinations, tag and band calves as necessary, handling and management of bulls and calving. Goal would be to begin and AI program to improve herd quality. Herd is Hereford Angus mix, with some Wagyu as well. Candidate should also possess or able to acquire a CDL class A license.
