FARM MANAGER POSITION

COMPANY DESCRIPTION

Husky Meadows Farm is a small 2.5 acre farm on Doolittle Drive in Norfolk, CT. Our farm consists of vegetables, flowers, shiitake mushrooms, and a small orchard. We sell produce at our weekly farm stand, occasionally in town on Sundays, and would like to bring back a CSA.

We are searching for someone who is committed to farming and has the following abilities and experience

• - 3+ years of experience in commercial farming
• - Experience with crop planning, budgeting, administration, supervision of others, marketing, sales, business development, and customer relations
• - Ability to communicate effectively with other crew members
• - Ability to log harvest and production data for record keeping
• - Knowledge of food safety protocols
• - Experience in crew hiring and management; ability to effectively lead a crew to accomplish time-sensitive tasks
• - Knowledge of general farm machinery (Tractor, BCS, String Trimmer, Mower, Chainsaw.)
• - Positive attitude and enthusiasm for sustainable food production
• - Ability to lift and carry 50+ pounds 
• - Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions
• - Valid driver’s license with reliable transportation
• - Ability to weed, plant, harvest, and pack produce to high quality standards
• - Ability to manage time and have a sense of urgency

Start Date March 1, 2026

COMPENSATION - start $50,000 salary with growth potential for following year based on job performance
