Description
Assist with the planting, cultivation, and harvesting of seasonal market vegetables.
Maintain orchard health, including pecan and fruit tree care and seasonal harvesting.
Perform soil health activities such as composting, mulching, cover cropping and bed preparation.
Support irrigation management, including the operation of smart irrigation systems.
Assist with livestock chores for our small flock of laying hens and mini-cows.
Represent the farm at local farmers markets (currently the Sunday morning Rillito Market) and assist with deliveries to the Community Food Bank of Southern Arizona.
The position is part-time, 20-25 hours per week, with possibility of expanding to full time.

About the Farm:
1000 Good Days is a nine-acre urban farm dedicated to growing healthy food through organic-ish agricultural practices and land stewardship. We cultivate established pecan and fruit orchards alongside diversified market rows. As part of the Woodland Road Farmers Co-op, we collaborate with other local family farms to provide produce to the Tucson community through local farmers markets, partnership with the Arizona Food Bank Network and our upcoming neighborhood farm stand.
Qualifications
Prior experience in production agriculture or a strong interest in sustainable farming methods.
Basic understanding of farm equipment, including BCS and tractor operation.
Ability to perform physical labor in Tucson's desert climate.
Strong communication skills for interacting with customers
