General Farm Maintenance Farmer (7302)

JOB DESCRIPTION

We are looking for motivated individual to help with our general farm maintenance!

Daily tasks may include:

• Maintain the upkeep of facilities, grounds, and care of tools and equipment
• Operation of tractors, skid steers and other farm equipment
• Fence Repair
• Care for the landscape through weed whacking, mowing, brush clearing, etc.
• Assist in light carpentry
• Assist in light equipment repair
• Assist our livestock operations and horticultural operations when needed
• Ability to lift 50 lbs
• Valid driver license (to operate farm vehicles and equipment)
• Ability to follow directions and complete task effectively and efficiently

Hours are 40 hrs/week full time

Pay is $22 - $25/hr DOE

Land Steward Farms is a growing livestock farm located in beautiful town of Lagrangeville NY. We raise and graze sheep, goats, two species of deer, chickens and turkeys on over 1000 acres. We practice many styles of regenerative farming which include rotational grazing, invasive species management and tree/land restoration.
