Responsibilities
- Spring greenhouse work: robust Spring growing 30,000 certified Organic starter plants for local gardeners plus plants for the Farm - seeding, pot-up, irrigation, fertility, IPM
- Manage flower plan, including CSA, Farm Stand, and Market needs
- Harvest, design/make bouquets and bunches, dry flowers
- Manage Greenhouse and Flower supplies, tags, inventory, etc.
- Field work (harvest, transplant, and weed crops)
- Farmers Markets- Longmont or Boulder on Saturdays
- Prepare, pack, and drive market trucks
- Lead crew in any of the above areas
- Record-keeping, planning, and preparing
- Flexible teamwork: Work and communicate well with our team to keep the whole farm organism running smoothly, including flexibility to jump in where/when needed, such as other Field or Packhouse work
Benefits
Schedule & Compensation:
March - November/December, Tue-Sat (May be Mon-Fri early season based on farm needs). $20-$22/hr DOE + staff veggies. Greenhouse/flower experience required. 40-55 hours/week depending on season and farm needs, with OT pay over 40. That’s right - you get time-and-a-half pay for all hours over 40!
Benefits: Bonus pay twice during the season for all full-time, full-season staff in their second year of employment at Aspen Moon! You’ll earn 1 hour bonus pay for every 40 hours worked.
