Horse Farm Manager / Trainer (6901)

Looking for an experiences Farm manger for a full time position at a commercial boarding and training facility. Ideal candidate will have experience working with horses and be fully competent at horse care which includes handling, training and manual duties associated with horse care such as cleaning stalls, cleaning pastures and paddocks, tending to water troughs, assuring turn out areas are safe and undamaged, feeding as prescribed, stocking hay and other maintenance duties as they arise. Ideal candidate will also be proactive with tending to vehicles, arenas and working areas, landscaping and overall look of the farm and facili ty and take a leadership role with other workers to assure jobs are getting done correctly. Additionally, candidate must have experience with foundational training of horses. Part of the position is to assist our instructors with the maintenance and addition of our school horse program, and this may mean bringing potential horses in for work to assure they will be a good fit for our program. Additional training may be needed for horses that are here for sale or to be trained for sale or horses in need of training from the local community; these fees are not included in the posted salary range so the opportunity to earn more is likely.

Must have experience working with and training horses. Good time management skills, must be dependable, must be healthy and fit, must be willing to act as a team leader
