Mushroom Farm Assistant and Delivery Driver Needed.

Come work with us on our small, family mushroom farm in Pamplico, Florence County, SC!

Rebecca Farms, LLC is expanding and we are in need of a delivery driver and farm assistant. We've been in business for 10 years, and are hoping you will be able to grow along with us. Our gourmet oyster and shiitake mushrooms can be found on menus and in markets from Charleston to Columbia to Florence.

Although this is a part-time job - about 25 hours a week - it is not seasonal, as we grow mushrooms indoors year round.

This is not farming like you may be used to, but if you're willing and able to learn, we'd like to meet you.

Responsibilities include:

• Delivery of product to customers in farm vehicle
• Assisting in the preparation and pasteurization of substrate
• Assisting in the inoculation of pasteurized substrate
• Assisting in the picking and packing of mushrooms
• Cleaning and sanitizing all equipment and production areas as needed

This is a very physical job.

The successful candidate must be able to lift and carry 50 pounds and stand for prolonged periods.

You must have your own transportation to the farm, but you will use the farm vehicle to make deliveries.

You will be on our insurance for this, so you must be over 18 and have a clean driving record.

At least one year of experience or education in any of the following, preferred:

• Biology
• Horticulture
• Agriculture

• Minimum high school diploma or equivalent
• College/university students encouraged to apply

• Ability to follow directions
• Willingness to learn
