Prayers From Maria Farmer (6793)

We are seeking a farmer to plant at Maria’s Field of Hope in Avon, Ohio. The estimated goal for this project include an early July planting date to ensure a September sunflower bloom. We are looking for a farmer that demonstrates a passion for the outdoors, knowledge of agricultural machinery, and physical stamina. Ultimately, a top-notch Farmer should possess physical strength, good hand-eye coordination, and a keen interest in agriculture. This position helps raise awareness of the Prayers From Maria Foundation mission, goals, and needs.

Job Duties and Responsibilities for this project include but are not limited to:
• Performing physical labor, operating heavy machinery, and managing farming activities.
• Devising strategies for weed/pest control and harvesting.
• Manage the coordination of various operational projects, including but not limited to land clearing and maintenance, planting, construction and parking areas.
• Coordinate the purchase and maintenance of any permanent equipment for the site
• Follow farm safety guidelines
• Work with Prayers From Maria officers to provide budgets, operational updates, and suggestions to ensure the success of each project.

• 3 to 5 years of agricultural experience required
• Valid driver’s license required, CDL preferred
• Ability to lift 50 pounds routinely and heavier lifts less frequently, with assistance available
• Driven personality, desire to succeed and a team player with a positive attitude

Prayers From Maria is dedicated to funding global research into the causes, prevention, treatments, and cure for the deadliest childhood brain tumors known as gliomas; raising public awareness about gliomas and bringing hope to children and their families who deal with the hardships of this disease.
