Senior Planner – Farmland Conservation (7297)

Make a Difference in Conservation of Farmlands in North Central Florida! Alachua County is hiring a Senior Planner within the Alachua County Forever Program to help expand protection of agricultural lands through acquisition and management of conservation easements.This position works within the highly successful Alachua County Forever-Land Acquisition Team on all aspects of conservation easement projects: from initial concept to long-term easement management.

This position will be focused on helping area farmers protect their land long-term through establish ment of conservation easements. Experience with agriculture, farming, and conservation easement acquisition and monitoring is highly desired. Skills with public speaking, landowner and partner relationship building, project development and grant writing are needed. Ability to work in a team, in person, in the office and in the field, with a high degree of organization and productivity are needed.

Salary Range: $73,632 annually (full time w/ benefits)
