Description
• Monitor fresh cows daily, identify health concerns, and administer treatments as needed
• Perform health checks and treatments on sick cows
• Assist with difficult calvings and support maternity pen operations
• Carry out scheduled vaccinations and health protocols
• Move and sort cattle safely and efficiently
• Perform AI breeding if experienced (training possible for the right candidate)
• Assist with milking fresh and treated cows to ensure proper udder health and milk quality
• Communicate effectively with the herdsman and other team members to maintain smooth daily operations
• Follow farm protocols and maintain accurate records
Qualifications
• Experience in dairy cattle care is preferred, but we are willing to train motivated candidates
• Ability to work well with others and contribute to a positive team environment
• Strong observation skills and attention to animal health
• Willingness to learn new skills and take on additional responsibilities
• AI breeding experience is a plus
• Reliable, responsible, and able to work a flexible schedule including some weekends or holidays
• Ability to work safely around large animals
