Cattle Farm Manager (7508)

We are seeking an experienced, self-motivated Cattle Farm Manager, (ideally a working couple) to oversee the daily operations of our Devon/Angus beef cattle operation in Franklin, Virginia. The ideal candidate will combine strong hands-on livestock skills with strategic herd planning, equipment operation, and pasture management to optimize herd health and operational efficiency. You will directly report to the owner and oversee two farmhands.

1. Daily care and management of cattle and miniature donkeys
2. Cattle and calving work
3. Monitoring herd health and pasture conditions
4. Fence building, repair, and general ranch maintenance
5. Equipment operation, servicing, and basic mechanical repairs
6. Hay making
7. Maintaining corrals, facilities, roads, and water systems
8. Self-motivation and the ability to work independently, safely, and efficiently
9. Reliability, a strong work ethic, and common sense
10. Positive attitude
