Dairy Farm Herdsman – Family Farm in WI (7409)

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Dairy Herdsman to join our team. The ideal candidate is passionate about dairy farming, skilled in herd health management, and comfortable working in a hands-on, fast-paced environment.

We are a family dairy farm located in the heart of Wisconsin. With a focus on animal care, sustainability, and community, we take pride in maintaining a high standard of dairy farming while treating our employees like part of the family. Our herd of milking cows is around 150-180 cows with highly efficient solutions and machines, which make work easier.

-Daily care and management of dairy cattle
-Monitor herd health and identify signs of illness or injury
-Administer medications and treatments as needed
-Assist with calving and newborn calf care
-Maintain accurate records (breeding, health, production)
-Operate milking systems and assist in parlor routines as needed
-Work closely with the owners and veterinarian on herd decisions
-Keep facilities clean, organized, and safe

-Previous experience working with dairy cattle required
-Strong understanding of herd health and animal behavior
-Ability to work early mornings, weekends, and holidays as needed
-Physically fit and capable of working in all weather conditions
-Team player with a strong work ethic and attention to detail
-Valid driver's license; CDL a plus but not required
