Farm Animal Caretaker (7351)

Do you like working around friendly farm animals?  Are you strong and quick on your feet? A keen observer of nature and animals?  This position centers around the daily care of about 80 sheep, 9 goats, 30 minipigs, and small numbers of other farm animals.  A detailed list of daily morning and evening chores as well as weekly chores is available for review, on request.  Email kaizenparks@me.com and send resume or describe your experience.   Your starting salary will be based on your experience and demonstrated abilities.  Range is $75-$150 per day.

Must be able to lift and carry  100 pounds or coordinate well with volunteers to safely do so on a regular basis to unload feed, hold and lift animals for health checks and vet trips.

Basic carpentry skills to fix stall doors and fences.

Good communication skills.

Respect for farm policies and mission.

Valid drivers license in good standing.

Prefer candidates with shepherd background.

Should you choose to live on the farm, you may be offered a furnished, modern 3 br, 2 ba house with most utilities covered.  Wool socks and fresh eggs are other important benefits.
