Description

As our Farm Manager, you’ll play a pivotal role in shaping the day-to-day operations of Delaney Farms. From overseeing livestock health to developing innovative sales strategies, you’ll be at the heart of our farm’s success. With a nine-month full-time position, this opportunity allows for professional growth and the chance to leave your mark on a farm that’s rooted in tradition and forward-thinking.

Responsibilities

• Daily Operations: Take charge of daily farm activities, from livestock care to seasonal planning.
• Livestock Management: Oversee the health, nutrition, and production of cattle and pigs, ensuring they meet high standards.
• Budgeting & Finance: Maintain the farm’s budget, monitor expenses, and ensure financial sustainability.
• Team Leadership: Lead, motivate, and mentor a dedicated farm team, fostering a culture of collaboration and excellence.
• Equipment & Inventory: Manage farm equipment, structures, and supplies to ensure smooth operations.
• Sales & Marketing: Develop and execute creative sales strategies to market and promote farm products and livestock.
• Record-Keeping: Keep accurate records of livestock, sales, and operational data to drive better decision-making.
• Safety & Compliance: Ensure adherence to safety standards and agricultural regulations.
• Hunt Club Operations: Manage the pheasant farm and hunt club operations, ensuring everything runs smoothly and efficiently.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in farm management or agricultural operations
• In-depth knowledge of cattle, pigs, crops, and general farming practices
• Sales experience with a knack for promoting farm products
• Strong leadership and team management skills
• Excellent organizational abilities and problem-solving mindset
• Ability to make independent, informed decisions
• Reliable transportation and flexibility with seasonal demands
