Seasonal Harvest Worker
Period: June – October (flexible)
Employment Type: Full-time or part-time
Pay: $16–$20/hour (DOE) + weekend premium pay
Responsibilities
Harvesting fruits and vegetables
Sorting, washing, and packing produce
Assisting with market setup and deliveries
Qualifications
Desired Employee Qualifications & Skills
Hands-on Farm Management Experience: Minimum 3 years of practical experience managing or assisting in diversified vegetable or mixed produce operations.
Knowledge of Sustainable Practices: Understanding of organic farming, crop rotation, soil health management, and integrated pest management (IPM).
Equipment Operation & Maintenance: Proficiency with tractors, small engines, irrigation systems, and general farm tools.
Leadership & Team Coordination: Ability to train, supervise, and motivate seasonal and full-time staff in a fast-paced agricultural environment.
Planning & Recordkeeping: Skilled in scheduling, maintaining production logs, and managing inventory or harvest data (digital or paper-based).
Problem-Solving Ability: Strong judgment and initiative to handle unexpected issues like weather delays, pests, or equipment failure.
Physical Endurance: Capable of performing outdoor work for extended periods in varying conditions (heat, cold, rain).
Communication Skills: Clear communication with team members, suppliers, and local partners; bilingual English/Korean a plus.
Time Management: Ability to prioritize tasks efficiently during busy harvest and planting seasons.
Licenses/Certifications (Preferred):
Valid driver’s license (required)
Tractor Safety or Pesticide Applicator certification (preferred)
First Aid/CPR certification (a plus)
Experience Requirements
Ability to lift up to 40 lbs and work outdoors in various weather
No prior experience required; training provided
Reliable transportation to farm required
